I understand this is a problem.  I will put this on the todo list.  Design choices are to show the last entry above the edit panel.  Or to create a pop-up edit window with javascript submit/refresh of main window upon completion.

First is limited and due to space constraints means the thread can''t easily be shown.

Second has the advantage of being able to see the whole thread - but its a popup and this upsets some people.

Could do but you it opens a can of worms - language not least - as you know even you and I don''t speak the same version of English.

Top Tip: Get a copy of Firefox 2.0 - it now has interactive spell checking of all form content.  It works great.

Since the message editor is an Ajax client, why not perform a spell check on the server side? You use the same sort of approach as used in Blogxter to provide drop-down boxes for corrections in the preview.

I vote also for the ability to see the content of the thread (or at least the last post) when creating a reply. This is a big usability issue for me.

A few more things in the forum that it would be nice to see fixed:

1. ''New topic'' and ''Post reply'' being next to each other causes usability issues (i have in the past clicked new topic instead of post reply - does there need to be a new topic button when viewing a topic?
2. It would be useful if the content of the topic was viewable when replying (I often find myself pressing back in the browser).
3. (I''ve previously posted this in bugxter), but pressing enter in the login form (in Safari) causes the browser to redirect to "".

Cheers,

Chris
