Hi Gregoire, there is no automatic method in the API to merge documents.
I'd suggest just creating the common root node in a new document and then calling
appendChildren() for the root nodes of each of the 400 input documents. Once merged
like this just recreate the index.
I have about 400 similar HDS2 documents with an index defined in each document. I
want to merge those documents and still be able to use the index.
According to the Javadoc of IHDSMutator, the index's content is automatically copied
to the immutable IHDSDocument by the call to "IHDSMutator.toDocument" method.
